The newly formed "SURRY CENTRAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION" has planned the "First Annual Alumni Day" for Friday, October 14, 2011.
THIS IS THE 50th ANNIVERSARY "HOMECOMING DAY"!
EVENTS & ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
Homecoming Parade at 2:30 meeting in the school parking lot (each class should call the high school for details and approval to participate in the parade)
HIGHLIGHTS: The class of 1962 and 1964 will have their homecoming queen riding in a convertible, the class of 1965 will have 22 alumni riding in "classic cars and trucks"!
BBQ supper at 5:30 sponsored by the Boosters Club at the cafeteria courtyard
Homecoming Football Game against North Surry at 7:00 PM: WXII will be covering the game as their "Game of the Week"! There will be a reserved section of bleachers for alumni from ALL years! We want to "fill the stadium" with alumni from all Classes, 1962 to 2011.
BE THERE! SUPPORT THE EAGLES!

2. The Class of 1964 will have their homecoming queen, Imogene Stanley Wilmoth, with the original convertible in this year's homecoming parade on Friday, October 14th. Way to Go...'64!3. The Class of 1965 will have 23 alumni riding in "classic cars, trucks, and convertibles" in the homecoming parade. Way to Go...'65!
4. Any alumni class wishing to "be in the parade" needs to contact Dena Cave at SCHS, 336-386-8842 to register as a participant. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
5. The Booster's Club BBQ on homecoming day is the MAJOR FUND-RAISER of the year. The dinner is only $8.00 per person, so make your plans now to support the Boosters. Contact Randy Hardy 336-366-0781 for tickets and more details.

Welcome to the new Surry Central Alumni Association website-blog!
HISTORY: Surry Central High School began in 1961, by consolidating Dobson, Copeland, and Mountain Park. The first graduating class, the Class of 1962, will celebrate its 50th reunion on Homecoming Weekend in 2012.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this blog is to provide a means for alumni of Surry Central High School to keep "connected" to the school's events, happenings, and reunions.
CLASS LINKS: Click on the "Class Links" to the right for contact information on each Alumni Class.
HELP: Your help is needed! If you would be willing to assist others in YOUR CLASS in organizing and contacting class members, please call or email Ron Phillips at 828-432-0776 or ronphillips66@att.net.
