How To Use A Class NEWSLETTER

Step 1:  Give the class newsletter a catchy name..."Eagle Wings", "The Flying Eagle", "Eagles of '65", etc.

Step 2:  Using MS Word (or some other software) set up a template to be used each time the newsletter is published.  (remember, MS Word documents can be emailed easily...saving postage costs)

Step 3:  What to include in the first newsletter:  KEEP IT SHORT, 1-page... tell any plans for a reunion, highlight 2-3 classmates...where they are, what they are doing, etc.  Ask for a small contribution to be used for newsletters, etc.  Tell classmates about the "class Facebook page" if there is one;  tell them about the class website/blog if there is one (if not, create one on Blogger...it is easy).  Tell them that the next newsletter will be published and mailed in 6 months, 4, 3, etc.  whatever; Ask for their ideas!  Ask for their HELP!  You will be suprised at how many will want to participate once the "wheel is rolling"!

Step 4:  Publish the first newsletter and get it out to all classmates...either email or snail mail.  (someone needs to fund the postage and other costs for now...until monies can be collected from classmates at a later time.)  Ask for funds in your first newsletter.
